Ok so I have absolutely no excuse for being away so long but hey its hard with a 2 year old. So of late I have been selling at Kirribilli Markets with my good friend Natalia. If you haven't been to this market already you really should check them out as they are one of my favourites. They are situated under the bridge just by Luna Park. The market happens the 4th Saturday of every month and the fashion stalls tend to be really strong (including mine). Lots of stylists, fashion editors and the like are selling off samples as well as having clearouts so you'll find many a designer labels here. I've really enjoyed selling here the view is enough to make it a lovely day and at the very least I'm enjoying rocking bumbag!

So I must tell you about this fabulous tea house I attended today called ‘Tea Parlour’ which is on Elizabeth Street. Started up by Amelia who just has a real passion for all things quaint and English I felt quite at home. ‘Tea Parlour’ is open Thursday to Sunday and provides the most wonderful High Tea complete with the most delicious array of cakes from rose sponge to homemade scones, the most delicious brownies I think I’ve ever eaten oh and not forgetting the crust free cucumber sandwiches!

Amelia really does have this spot on. The room is surrounded with sumptuous velvet upholstry, with lace table cloths, floral teacups and the Shangri las playing softly in the background. It has that quaint granny chic that makes you feel as though you're at a distant aunts house or perhaps Miss Havishams!

The cakes are all handmade by Amelia herself and she has every kind of tea imaginable. The shelves are filled with books from Oscar Wilde to Alice in Wonderland so you really could lose yourself for an afternoon. Another service they offer is tarot reading and upon having mine done I was informed that it was the most positive reading that they had done in a long time. I have fallen in love with 'Tea Parlor and can't wait for my next visit.

So this is me and the new wig which I would sleep in if I could! Never have I been able to get ready so quickly. So here I am off to the the Alice McCall Show which I will cover in my review. Oh and I must mention my headband a steal at $4 currently in Sports Girl!
With Fashion Week over how does it compare to London??? my review coming soon.......

So it's funny when you move to a new country it's literally like your 1st day at school all over again! At least back then I had my twin brother for support. I'm told it's natural to pine for your best friends I mean no one will ever possibly know you as long as they have but it's hard not to compare people to them. In a desperate attempt to be social I'm attending mother groups but to be honest with you I'd actually rather talk about anything else then baby poo or compare lack of sleep. I wanna talk about girly things and have a good old chin wag over over a rich tea and an earl grey if you please.

You know your social skills are beginning to flag when the doctors receptionist asks your name when arriving for your appointment and you start to reel off your whole life story and how long you've been in the country blah blah blah.... just so happy that's someone’s actually talking to you oh how sad!

Good friends take a while to find and if you find a handful even in a lifetime then I guess you’re lucky wherever they are in the World.

So I think it's fair to paint Australia through my eyes. On first arriving I felt like I had landed in the land of the lost the beautiful greenery and strange tropical noises are a far cry away from the smell of takeout chicken and the hussle and bussle of London. For the 1st month I literally excepted a tyrannosaurus to break through the the tree's and I'd have to make a dash for it in my 5 inch wedges I still sometimes enjoy this fantasy.
The birds here are kind of crazy and I don't mean the ladies. I'm used to seeing cockatoo's behind fencing in some dodgy petshop but here they roam free
. Alcohol is not sold in super markets which I now realize after searching frantically for a bottle of wine before after 20mins being directed to a non alcoholic bottle. when you do find the bottleshop they wrap your purchase in brown paper packaging which I just love it makes that Merlot seem even more special as well as making you feel slightly trampish at the same time.

For all ladies of african decent the weave don't work here well not in summer anyway. I have literally had to let my hair do
it's thing something I was very against for all who knew me prior but it's nice not having to put myself through that torture session every 2 months.

Anyway now that I have realized that I am here to stay and not just on some long holiday which is how I felt until I finally opened a bank account....... I think I'm gonna like it here!

Just like Dorothy I too have found myself in a new land instead of Toto I am accompanied by my 2 year old son Eilif and wonderful partner Erin Shaw.

I wish, I wish, I wish to be a fashion stylist, to marry a makeup artist and to live in Australia oh and some more fabulous custom made birthday outfits if you would.................................
